In 1998 DJ LEE started together with Andreas Bruhn, the ex guitarist from SISTERS OF MERCY, to produce dancemusic and born acts like DJ LEE, TV JUNKIEZ, DONS, M.L.B.PROJEKT, UPSERVER, EARTH BOUND, FOURTH INC., THE GREATEST DJ, DA SPACERS, SHADOW QUEENS und SCALA. Two years later the work with Andreas endet and started again with Nils Karsten aka VAN DER KARSTEN. Many new numerous projects like MEGARA VS DJ LEE, APOLLO, CHEMISTRY, DJ LEE and VAN DER KARSTEN DJ LEE and Nils have brought into being. With their first common production, the Vocal trance Hymn “Dance” they landed a solid Club hit at once. Apollo couldn’t be placed only in the single sales charts, it became also an integral part of the Dj sets in UK, Italy, Japan and Spain. Also their first MEGARA VS DJ LEE single “The Megara” brought the two Hamburger DJs and Producern so much recognition to, that a little bit later they were picked up by EMI with the energy trance hymn “Full intention” – an extremely catchy dance floor fountain. “Full intention” was found in the top Five of the DJ top 40, DDC and ODC by convincing chart placings already before being released. No wonder that the single celebrated the move into the Media Control Dance charts few weeks later. MEGARA´s latest trick “Hold your hands up high” and the newest single “Human Nature” are again uncompromising celebration tracks making every Club burning. The success doesn’t stop here and the video is already being played at VIVA Club rotation and on the KING CHANNEL of Burger King. The interest in her projects increases visibly also abroad. Publications in Japan, Australia, Spain, Italy, Switzerland and The Netherlands speak for their outstanding quality. The two Hamburgers are known for their unmistakable Sounds and secured their own place in the hard disputed Dance segment in a short time by their extraordinary quality. Since their first common production the two are considered highly as Remixers. In 2004 a new project was born: VAN DER KARSTEN. C.R.Y. the first single has been releases including a phätt MEGARA VS DJ LEE Rmx on Aqualoop Records. Aqualoop Records has already published many DJ LEE singles (READY OR NOT/TAKE ME AWAY, X-PERIENCE, FIGHT HARD, I KNOW, TOMORROW) The new APOLLO single called “IN MY DREAMS” has been released on CUEPOINT RECORDS. The vocal trance tune was supported by the incredible PULSEDRIVER rmx and one great UK rmx of “DANCE”. The following APOLLO singles are: “ALL I NEED 2007? und “DANCE 2007?. Both got massive support by djs worldwide! In the beginning of 2005 MEGARA VS DJ LEE finished their new single called “MUSICAL SOCIETY”. It was released first time on ALPHABET CITY’s sublabel DROP OUT.”MUSICAL SOCIETY” is played until today in many clubs and radio stations, like SUNSHINE LIVE RADIO. Following MEGARA VS DJ LEE singles are: “THE MEGARA 2005?, “OUTSIDE WORLD”, “FOR A MOMENT” und “BLOW THE MIND”. CHEMISTRY “HEARTBEAT” on CUEPOINT RECORDS has been released very successfully too. But not only in Germany. “HEARTBEAT” becomes a big club hit in Japan! In 2007 Nils and Michael-Lee as CHEMISTRY finished the follow up single called “PROPHECY”. The CLUB MIX and the big stomping techtrance monster U.S. TEST RMX are one of the most wanted tracks worldwide until today! The sixth artist of the MEAGARA VS DJ LEE family is called U.S. TEST! The first single “MAGELLAN” becomes a big hit and leaded several dance charts for many weeks! The mix of dark tech trance, deep progressive beats and commercial elements fits U.S. TEST to the underground clubs and main halls in the dance scene. The follow up “20 YEARS LATER” got big support by many djs worldwide. At the end of 2006 Ralf Oliver Müller (CUEPOINT Records), Nils Karsten and Michael-Lee Bock found the Label SPIN THAT RECORDS! With the first release BACKSLASH VS MIKKAS “ALL MY LIFE” / CAVÉ & PREY “ENERGY”, SPIN THAT RECORDS take hold in the clubscene worldwide.
