From classical beginnings to deep underground grooves, Medalla has always been driven by a love of music in all its forms. A pianist from a young age, he later taught himself guitar and percussion, performing in bands and orchestras before finding his way behind the decks in the early 2000s. What began as a fascination with vinyl quickly became a lifelong passion. Through his college radio show Cluas Eile on Flirt FM, Medalla built a reputation for exploring the full spectrum of sound, blending deep house, techno, and leftfield cuts into hypnotic journeys that moved both body and mind. After years playing parties and clubs around the world, he joined Dublin’s Phever.ie in 2018, reviving his radio show and curating sets that celebrate the diverse textures of electronic music; from deep house and chunkers to melodic techno, afro house, and cosmic disco. Now a regular at Racket Space, Dublin, Medalla continues to craft immersive vinyl sets rooted in groove, depth, and emotion, taking listeners on a journey from the intimate to the transcendent. Whether on radio or in the booth, his sets connect the dots between rhythm and reflection, nostalgia and the now.
