Measure Divide is the solo project of music producer Fahad Ahmad who has been pushing the envelope of techno for over a decade under numerous pseudonyms. His commitment to finding new and innovative techniques in the studio led him to venture out on his own and implement an altered approach. His productions bounce between the realm of techno, industrial and post-punk. In 2013, he founded an events brand under the name of Format in order to showcase forward thinking international artists and mold the future sound of Toronto. Format bookings have included the likes of Jeff Mills, Function, DVS1, Planetary Assault Systems, Shifted, Rrose, Kangding Ray, Paula Temple, Ben Sims, Truncate, Dax J, Orphx and many more artists that have inspired him throughout the years. His incredible dedication and hard work has seen him perform in some of the finest institutions in the techno landscape including Berghain, Tresor, Under Club and Stereo. 2017 saw the birth of a live post-punk, industrial project, MDD. MDD has since released on AnD's Inner Surface Music, Ansome's South London Analogue Material, HANDS, PLS.UK, Infidel Bodies and more. After a 5 year hiatus, 2021 saw the return of Measure Divide with a new record release on Cleric's formidable Clergy imprint, titled 'Green Parallel'.
