Sophie aka MDMX is a self taught dj based in London. After falling in love with techno music at 17, Sophie decides to invest in a very cheap mixer and a pair of vinyl decks. After countless hours of practice in her room, she finally performs in clubs and music festivals near Angers, her french home town. She then collaborates with the record label FTW based in Paris until 2009 when she decides to move to London as she saw a good opportunity to explore different music genders. Being influenced by big beats, techno, UK bass, she starts playing in small clubs in east London. Sophie became resident dj at Twat Boutique in Dalston Superstore in 2011 and performs at warehouse parties, playing alongside Austra, Trust, The Kills, Peaches... She is also resident dj at the hip hop night Holla where she can explore and play all her guilty pleasures. She joins forces with Emma Peters, founder of Twat Boutique and creates the electro night Club Lesley in 2013.
