Maxwell JS, previously known in the DC house and techno scene as Measax, has been shaping sounds since the 90s, even before his first club gig. His journey includes DJ residencies with 88DC, throwing popular raves with friends, and production work with various early independent labels. His releases, a mix of solo work and joint projects, reflect a deep commitment to the craft, blending elements of ghetto, house, techno, dub, pop, and electronica. DJ History Maxwell JS has opened for many big name artists in D.C. clubs including Richie Hawtin, Cassy, Daniel Bell, Green Velvet, A Guy Called Gerald and many more, under his previous alias "Measax."
