Max’s sound is a sonic atlas; an auditory map of the rhythms he’s encountered as a global citizen. His sets are a seance, evoking a state of rapture through the universal mantra of house music. Max merges the elusive sounds of parts unknown, with familiar pulses of the dance floor to craft experiences that are as tangible as they are audible. His style ranges from polyrhythmic afro-latin, to Euphoric vocal-driven dance anthems. Currently Max’s focus is with Public Secret, a traveling music collective focused on bespoke destination events. Max began Public Secret in the Caribbean in 2016 as an organic extension of his DJ career. Public Secret has since expanded into a global reaching movement, with events like “La Ola”, "Signal", and signature “Secret Sessions” making a major impact along the Nayarit region and more recently, in California. Max’s goal through Public Secret is to curate events that are as much a journey as they are a destination, shepherding attendees to a good vibe oasis hidden just off the beaten path in whatever part of the map they may be in- be it the Jungles of Mexico, The Malibu hills, or the Carribbean islands. Max Mignot’s mission is to harmonize people, places, and music of equal beauty, in the spirit of Ubuntu, to create moments we never forget.
