Matteo Gatti spent his teenage years listening to hip hop and breakdance, and soon after he started rapping with his local crew of like-minded black music enthusiasts. No wonder he moved then on to funk and reggae inspired electronic music: dub and jungle were his soundtrack during college, and techno came to his attention as soon as the rave scene exploded on the european underground circuit. He began his dj career at some of the most radical Italian music events such as Bologna's Street Parade and 72 Hours Of Music Resistance of Florence.
