Matthew Lush is a Melbourne born DJ currently based in Berlin. Since the mid-90s Matt Lush has been a connoisseur of electronic music, he pin points seeing Derrick May and Stacey Pullen deejaying in a small warehouse in Melbourne’s industrial west igniting his obsession with Techno. With influences such as Jeff Mills, Dave Clarke, Woody McBride, UR, Surgeon, early Dan Curtin and Laurent Garnier, to name but a few, Matt started tinkering behind the decks while based in Melbourne. But since moving to Sydney Matt quickly found his place in the local scene, most recently being inducted as a resident deejay for the flagship Australian techno label, Nightime Drama. During his time in Sydney, Matthew has hosted and played alongside DJs and live acts such as Jeff Mills, Luke Slater, Derrick May, Dasha Rush, Kangding Ray, Answer Code Request, Ø [Phase], Darko Esser, Bas Mooy, Developer as well as playing at outdoor festivals including Subsonic, Psyfari Music Festival, as well as countless local warehouse and club gigs.
