German-based DJ and producer Markus Weigelt is one of the most upcoming talents in the (Hard)Techno genre. With a broad variety of successful productions which are played by Kobosil, Dax J, Nico Moreno, DYEN and many more genre defining artists, he already proved his musical talent several times. In addition to this Markus' collaborations with well-known acts like Sebastian Groth, Pappenheimer, Ben Dust and Steve Shaden not only entered playlists of many renowned DJs but also circulated high in the Beatport Peak Time Techno and Hard Techno Charts. Especially his latest releases like "Nightmare", "Space Invaders" or "Up & Down", just to name a few, simply evolved to long-term Hard Techno hits on the german label Rewasted. Some of those tracks stayed in Beatport's Techno Charts for weeks, found their place in famous Spotify Editorial playlists like Techno Bunker and Electronic Rising and already collected more than three million plays on Spotify. So it is hardly surprising that Markus was chosen by the readers of FAZE magazine as one of the through-starters of 2019. Markus' signature sound is quite special. The young artist likes to experiment with genre-typical but also experimental elements and thus creates a very own sound image that stands out from the conventional Techno material. Markus' musical experience is deeply rooted in the Hard Dance scene where he did his first attempts as a producer. Now he covers a very broad spectrum of the Hard Techno genre, as he not only creates hard and driving but also melodic and meaningful sound. As a full-blooded musician, he has a knack for creating absolute peak-time tracks and thus convincing his listeners. As a DJ, Markus started out as a resident at the german event series "The Castle Freaks" founded by Sebastian Groth, where he still regularly stands behind the decks together with some of the biggest Techno acts such as The Advent, Angy Kore & Gabriel Padrevita, Pappenheimer, Kerstin Eden and many more. In 2022 he finally became an inherent part of one of the most upcoming german booking agencies named ReWasted Booking based on the label. Now he even plays frequently beyond regional borders in clubs all over the country and bordering states.
