Previously known as Mark.M, Marco Martinez was Born in Caracas, Venezuela and raised in Miami, Florida where he started his career in the nightclub industry as a promoter at just 15 years old. at 18 years of age he started to mix and perform around the city, and He has since become one of the most popular local DJs in Miami, Former resident of the world renowned Club Space where he's had the opportunity to share decks with artists including Afrojack, Steve Angello, Laidback Luke and Thomas Gold, to name a few. Markem's versatility on the decks has also taken him international, playing clubs all over South America as well as festivals like Storyland (Summerland) in Cartagena, Colombia where he headlined the Main Stage alongside artists including David Guetta, Armin Van Bureen Marco Carola & Loco Dice. As a producer he’s made his mark with current collaborations with Moska and David Tort, and previous remixes for Erick Morillo's “I Like To Move It”, and Cedric Gervais and Mya's “Love Is The Answer”. He was also the mind behind the massive “Party In Miami” that made its way to Beatport’s number 3 overall chart position for 3 consecutive weeks in 2010. Recently, Markem has joined with David Tort to co-found HoTL Records, a record label founded to push boundaries and create new sounds and trends. With upcoming solo tracks and collaborations on the label, Markem strives to feed the ears of many international dance music community that are united for the love of music and hungry for new beats.
