Biografía

Liuzzi’s gritty and percussive sound met an early inception, born out of the underground Melbourne movement, he found his edge from the age of 16. Early exposure to such a raw foundation set him up for a sound that has developed into a style deeply rooted in Berlin tension, and the origins of the Detroit techno sound with a deep respect for techno’s lineage. With over a decade behind the decks, he’s developed an instinct, appreciating that no two dancefloors, sound systems, or rooms will ever be the same. Known for unearthing forgotten tracks from before his time, Liuzzi weaves the music into multi-layered sets built with intention. More than a track list, a narrative crafted through 3-4 track blends and surprise acapella drops that shift the room's energy at will, keeping the flow of the set incredibly unique and alive, unpredictable and impossible to replicate. Liuzzi’s output is shaped by deep engagement with European club culture, most especially his time in Berlin and pivotal experiences at Berghain, where he came to understand the importance in curating an experience, that feeling that cuts deeper and stays with you long after the final track is over. When citing creative inspiration, artists such as Yanamaste, Alarico, Quelza, GiGi FM, Ben Klock, Marrøn, Rene Wise, and Elisa Bee continue to influence his musical perspective, whilst still maintaining his own unique sound and approach to his music. His creativity sits at the intersection of modern and historical techno, rhythm-focused, texturally rich, and built for long-form listening.
