Born in Venezuela and raised in Costa Rica, MAF has grown surrounded by a diverse array of musical genres and has developed a taste for such. Ranging from the grooviest of house to the finest of techno, she began to define her own style and sound influenced by her ethnic heritage since her early years. Characterized by a variety of grooves, elegant melodies and organic percussions, her mixes send you on a personal journey of bodily emotion and celebration. MAF is a current resident of the “Gang.” Collective in Costa Rica as well as designer and member of the Future Culture Records label based in Miami, FL.  She has also participated in major events of the Costa Rican underground scene such as Nocturnal and Bolera, and she’s had the honor of participating twice in Ocaso Music Festival. Sharing the stage with the likes of Loco Dice, Guy Gerber, Jamie Jones, Damian Lazarus, Claptone, the Desert Hearts family, HOSH, among others.  She’s also had the opportunity to share her musical journey throughout important Latin American destinations and venues, such as Club Vertigo (Costa Rica), Antik Restaurant + Bar (Costa Rica), The Secret Garden (Guatemala), and EPIC Night Club (Puerto Rico).  Based in Barcelona, MAF currently works as a designer and illustrator and has had the opportunity to share her sounds at local venues such as, City Hall, Garage 442. No matter what she’s working on, she makes sure to always transmit that same groove and flavor one finds in her music.
