M5R, a Colombian DJ from the capital's scene, currently based in Barcelona, took his first steps in music as a clubber, which led him to discover his taste for hypnotic sounds, with lots of groove and powerful beats. He began his musical career with the Colombian collective FRERES COL as co-founder, DJing at different clubs and raves on the capital's scene at clubs such as RADIOBERLIN, BEFORE, Aftermood, and in Barcelona at the city's most renowned clubs (M7, Maloa Club (Sabadell), Pacha, Garage 442, City Hall, Sala Recreo, Club Sauvage, Localito 3.0). His musical evolution is marked by the groove sounds of artists such as Ben Sims, Oscar Mulero, and Richie Hawtin, who have been very important references in his musical inspiration and in his search for his own sound. He has released on labels such as Sinaptica, Xelima Records, Despair Scape, and FRERES Recordings.
