luvin'Lou was born 1977 in Munich, Germany. He bought his first set of decks at the tender age of 15 being absolutely amazed by the idea of starting a DJ/MC collective with two of his mates. He quotes early 90s house legends like Marc Kinchen aka MK and Masters At Work as being a huge inspiration for him but he always had an extra buzz for the various underground sounds hailing from the British Isles which lead him to perform his first club gigs playing drum'n bass for Munich's 'Southern Sessions' Collective in 1997. This was where he got to meet DJ Empee. Next to drum'n bass they both shared a deep love for the underground house & UK garage sound that was slowly finding its way from the UK to the Munich nightlife. Together with fellow Munich artist DJ Flynn and another friend named Markus they started Exquisit-Promotions to put a face to that sound in Munich. After building a solid fan base for their music in different clubs, and on various events, they settled down in 1999 and SWEET @ Raum8 was born. There they successfully celebrated their form of underground house & uk garage for several years alongside numerous DJs/MCs/Pa’s such as The Brothers Connection, Ray Hurley, Daryl B, Norris Windross, Andy Lewis, Zed Bias, Robbie Craig, Blakey, Buzzhard and many more. This Munich phenomenon lead to many bookings nationwide and internationally for luvin'Lou performing alongside artists like Karl 'Tuff Enuff' Brown, Matt 'Jam' Lamont, The Wideboys and MJ Cole to name a few. He has been a resident DJ for SWEET (Munich), SWEET @ Roxy (Vienna), Gastrosilvester, Edmoses, Cafe King, The Garden Club, Pacha, Milchbar, elliDISCO, Erste Liga, Muffathalle, Prinzip Club, BASSart Festival 2009 & 2010 (Munich) He has also appeared at the Street Parade (Zurich), Longstreet Carneval (Zurich), ID Party @ Cookies (Berlin), German Dance Awards 2000 (Hamburg), Subliminal Sessions @ Pop-Komm (Cologne), Brooks Motel (Hamburg), Stammheim (Kassel), U60310 (Frankfurt), Airport (Würzburg) Maria (Stuttgart), Sweet & Sexy (Zurich & Bern), It's A London Thing (Zurich), MJ Cole Tour @ Radost FX (Prag), Winkel van Sinkel (Utrecht) Free Your Mind (Arnhem), Beachlent (Nijmegen) On the production front he teamed up with his long time friend Christian Belej aka Hantaan in 2001. The two formed a duo under the name of S! And Sweet dubs. Their official remixes work up to now include Brown & Cole, Xavier, Robin S, David Lewis and Kele Le Roc. Focused on keeping the grooves soulful and deep, Lou is trying to maintain that raw underground flavour he used to love in the old house & garage days. If you're lucky you might even find him dropping some of those 2-step garage tracks on one of the famous SWEET nights that are still going down in Munich on a regular basis. The journey to share his passion for the music with clubbers and fellow music-lovers is far from over....
