FOR HER CREATIVE PROCESSES, LUNA MARTINEZ TAKES REFUGE IN THE MAGICAL ISLAND OF FORMENTERA, SOURCE OF INSPIRATION FOR HER NEW PROJECTS WITHIN ELECTRONIC MUSIC THAT TAKE STRENGTH AFTER HER PERFORMANCE IN DGTL MADRID 2019 TOGETHER WITH THE MOST IMPORTANT ACTORS OF THE INTERNATIONAL ELECTRONIC SCENE. In 1999 Luna had his first contact with some Technics, thus beginning his love at first sight with the art of blending. Her curiosity, perseverance and skill made her advance quickly and in 2002, while she was living in London, she began her first leap to the electronic scene playing in some bars of the city with such success that she decided to seriously consider becoming a professional DJ. In less than a year, Luna became Luna Martínez, obtaining nothing less than a residence as a professional DJ in the London club Destino (in Picadilly Circus), while at the same time she was invited to flood with beats parties like the Miss Behabe. Since then, Luna Martínez‘s sessions have been heard in Ibiza (Amnesia, Privilege, Km5, Blue Marlin, Action Painting, La Room, etc.), Girona (Sala Del Cel), Barcelona (Zomm, Nextown, Mochima, She’s, Catwalk, K.G.B, kiut, Femelek), had a monthly residential in Galicia (Sala Krooner), and Madrid (Missmoustache). Also passing through Berlin (kater Holzing), Brno (Cheka Republic), among other places. She has collaborated with LesFataLes, a group of women related to electronic music. Her music can eventually be heard in Lempika, La Cámara, Bloke 686, Becool, La Boîte and Macarena Micro Club among others. Luna Martínez‘s styles have varied throughout her career. She started with her friends’ Techno vinyl, went through the ElectroHouse that marked the musical moment in London and ended up opting for the most minimalist sounds of the present electronic scene. Although she often combines a series of different styles, it is in Minimal where she has found a sound stability that has allowed her to define himself with her own style, producing sets marked by a delicate, austere and elegant sound. She has also collaborated in live audiovisuals with the multimedia artist Tea Guarascio with the Put Beat project. She is currently living between Formentera as a creative residence and Madrid, in the smallest of the Pitiusas during the summer months she can be heard in Ses Roques as a resident dj. Since her appearance in DGTL Madrid 2019 with some of the biggest names in world electronics such as Tale Of Us, Oscar Mulero, Adriatique, Dixon, Honey Dijon, Ben Klock and Adriana López. His career is catapulted towards a new stage: that of his internationalization to large stages. She is currently working on the production of her own album and a joint project in live format with the artist Bonhomía project under which they are known as murr_ma.
