Lukeino (aka Luke Argilla) has been a staple in the Bay Area’s Drum & Bass scene for over 6 years DJing at many of San Francisco’s finest events as well as in Los Angeles, San Diego, Sacramento and NYC. He has been producing for over 10 years and has created memorable music that has seen airplay on the BBC Radio 1 among other outlets. Luke also has a long history of being an audiophile and has earned a BA in Audio Production from San Francisco State University. Luke broke onto the San Francisco Drum & Bass scene in 2003 while hosting the only Drum & Bass show on KSFS radio. In 2006 Luke founded the now infamous Reflex Crew who together have hosted a large number of events featuring top-notch artists from around the world. In 2006 Lukeino was recruited to be a member of the BADNB (Bay Area Drum n Bass) Collective and has since been active in the historic Love Parade events. Recently Lukeino’s talents have been recruited by San Francisco’s legendary Compression Crew (running 10 years strong) who have been making waves internationally with their big tunes as well as by co-hosting Formations Records’ WODNB events in Miami as well as in San Francisco. Lukeino has performed alongside many of Drum & Bass’ top artists such as Roni Size, Calibre, Chase & Status and Marcus Visionary to name a few. No newcomer to the record industry, Luke has worked as the Drum & Bass buyer for premier dance record stores BPM and Reverb Records. Lukeino’s first release in 2007 was a Dubstep collaboration featured on Kush Arora’s “From Brooklyn to SF” Album. The track was also picked up by Record Label Records and pressed to vinyl for the “Dub Elements” release. The track received great response on the Dubstep circuit and was in heavy rotation on Mary Anne Hobbs and Bobby Frictions’ shows on BBC 1xtra. His collaboration with Ax!oM MC was selected for the Test Press compilation and released on Epiphyte Records. Luke’s music has been featured on Fuel TV, Standard Snowboarding films and Tap Tap Revenge (#1 iPhone game application), amongst others.
