He began playing in 1996 when he used to perform with the already well known DJ Sidecar who was a house DJ at the time. They played together at XT3 and Punto Azul, and later on at Roxy, Radost FX and Akropolis. The turning point in his DJ career came in 1998 when he became a member of the legendary group Roxydust managed by DJ Loutka and Petr Hosek. Thanks to Roxydust he played at Roxy such parties as Shake, Batrave, 7:33, Saladas etc. Today Lucas Hulan is one of the top young Czech DJs, playing at most of the Czech clubs, all of the important summer festivals (Creamfields, Summer Of Love, LPC, Cosmic Trip..) and at major outdoor parties. You may also have heard him abroad, in Berlin (Zur Wilden Renate..), London (Wiggle Parties, The Egg, The Lightbox, Nomad, The Whitehouse, Scala, The Factory..), Brighton, Sweden, Poland, Italy, Greece, Swiss or Costa Rica (Vertigo Club @ San Jose, Tamarindo, Jaco Beach Festival) and he often plays at our neighbors in Slovakia. For a long time he co-operated with the singer Charlie One (Wubble-U, UK) who accompanied him with her vocals and with whom he would like to produce a track in the future. Lucas Hulan is owner and label manager of respected electronic label Nightphunk Recordings which releases music by artists such Silverlining, Stratasoul, Asad Rizvi, Herb LF, Shades Of Gray, Deepchild and others. Resident DJ at legendary Roxy, Radost Fx and Chapeau Rouge. In the Czech Republic he is represented by Chapeau Rouge where he also has his resident session Nightphunk featuring Mr.C, Eddie Richards, Nathan Coles, Bushwacka!, Alex Arnout, Silverlining, Mike Monday, Omid Aka 16B, Asad Rizvi, Corrie, Just_Me, David Delgado, Tom Gillieron, Deepchild and others... He did also legendary warehouse party called Mikro at Microna where he played with artists such Tobi Neumann, Alex Arnout, Seb Zito, Tigerskin, Arapu, Faster, Gathaspar, Burnski, Guy From Downstairs, ONNO, Martin Landsky, DJ M3, Eddie Richards, MANIK (NYC), Lee Jones, Boris Werner, Monika Ross and many more... Lucas Hulan has been for a number of years one of Prague's favourites and a local music head. Runs his label Nightphunk Recordings where he brings together a mixture of styles roaming from deep to techno. His music most definetely known to most of clubbers and ravers but always leaving space for something new, a new vinyl, an old one?who knows...The mystery surrounding his djs set is what makes him the artists he is now.
