Born in Turin and based in Rome for over a decade, Luca Viola is a co-founder and resident selector of nuur and Blaze*, as well as a member of the artistic board at Circolo dei Cerchi. With a background in acting studies, his approach to sound is informed by a strong sense of narrative and presence. Deeply rooted in underground club culture, his work reflects a continuous exploration of contemporary electronic music and its fringes. His selections move fluidly across genre lines, guided by a distinct sensibility for broken rhythms, syncopated patterns, and unexpected sonic textures. Unconcerned with fleeting trends, he embraces a slower, more intentional approach—crafting immersive soundscapes that challenge, surprise, and engage.
