Luca Carluccio is a Berlin-based DJ, event promoter and the head of the ELSI collective. Hailing from Milan, Luca fell in love with DJing while playing underground parties across Italy, refining a style and ethos that underpins his eclectic sets to this day. Deeply embedded in the music industry since he was first recruited by a London-based booking agency, Luca booked shows for influential artists across the global electronic music scene. Now based in Berlin, he spends his days helping !K7 Records - home of the quintessential DJ-Kicks compilation - do their thing, and his nights running ELSI, a party series and collective that’s become one of the city’s most coveted happenings. Spending the past decade moving between cities and cultures, Luca’s kept his ear to the ground, becoming a deft selector and a seasoned digger. It hasn’t gone unnoticed, either: The Lot Radio and HÖR have taken note, both inviting him to visit in 2022. He runs a monthly show, Margarita, on Berlin’s Refuge Worldwide, that spotlights the deepest of cuts from his native Italy alongside a varied palette of uptempo sounds. Luca’s sets can’t be boxed into tidy categories, instead free-associating through styles, vibes, genres and tempos, threading together blissed-out Italo with hook-heavy house, acid-kissed electro with cerebral rhythms and heartfelt grooves picked up during time spent in the dancefloors and record shops of Europe and beyond.
