Eriko 'Lua Cheia' is one of the premiere house music DJs in the NY nightlife and club scene. While she holds a residency in Brooklyn, she travels throughout the world and bee featured at Contact Tokyo and Queens Head Jakarta, Ocean's Ten Miami, Electric Pickels Miami, several of venues in New York City and Brooklyn including Frank’s Lounge, Cameo Gallery, Starvue, Delancey, Meridian23, Camaradas El Barrio, Katra Lounge, Drom, Sabrossa and Santos Party House. Lua has received enthusiastic praise from audiences and critics alike in response to the energetic drive and soulful feeling she inspires through every set. She performed on the same bill with Louie Vega, Tony Touch, Rich Medina, Kim Lightfoot, Basil, Aakmel, DJ Qu and many other prominent DJs in the world. Thanks to her time working at Downtown 304, NYC’s prime house music distributor and record store, Lua has built an extensive record collection and formed relationships with some of the best DJs and producers in the industry, such as Jus-Ed, Jennifa Mayanja, Mike Huckaby, Anthony Parasole, Son of Sound, DJ Spider, Dakini9, Fred P, DJ Qu, Joey Anderson, Nicuri, EMAN, Tommy Bones, Tony Touch, Rich Medina, DJ Spinna and Danny Krivit.  With 15 years of dance training, Lua is an expert of authentic NYC house dance style and also brings that experience to the turntables. With extensive background in trumpet and piano—not to mention house music—her deep understanding and appreciation of music is apparent whenever she spins.
