Lowfeli
Biografía
AKA Pavlova or Herr'N Los; Lowfeli’s journey to the dancefloor has been a long time coming.
A professional ballet dancer by trade, it was during her final year at a famed French dance academy that she was introduced to electronic music after performing routines to seminal dance acts such as Aphex Twin, Air, and Amon Tobin.
After two years dancing for the Ballet National de Marseille and surviving a life changing injury, she moved to Lyon, a hot spot in France’s famed electronic music circuit. She became fully immersed in the underground rave scene, discovering everything from drum and bass sound system culture to legends of techno at clubs like Le Sucre. Shortly after, Lowfeli co-founded the DIY artist collective ‘Leather and Moustaches’, organizing and deejaying at parties and festivals in the French countryside, further cementing her independent spirit and skewing her DJ selections towards the raw, the weird and the melancholic regions of house, techno and electro.
Following an impromptu move to Berlin, she was swept away by the city’s underground electronic music undercurrent, founding les Chineurs de Berlin - the German branch of the unstoppable French collective La Chinerie - becoming a resident DJ at Wedding’s best club Humboldthain, establishing the female-focused party series GrrrlZ Power and organizing a staggering number of events with her partner in crime Mown.
