After several performances, the duo decided to further collaborate and are currently working on a new sound that will significantly differ from what the producers did individually. Having had over 15 years of experience in music, both artists have sought inspiration from the pioneers of the electronic music scene. They seek to add something new to sounds that have long been established. Louwave and Splinter UA have initially worked with each other remotely, yet after Tymur’s relocation from Odesa to Lviv, the producers began working in the studio together. Their process is an exploration and the result – a mixture of old-school vibes that ranges from classic techno to tribal groove, which in the end, is the main aspect of the duo’s live performances. When on stage, the Ukrainian artists strongly rely on the communication process between themselves and the audience, which serves as an essential tool that forms their audio narrative. For both Splinter UA and Louwave, music has long ceased to be a hobby. Each studio session is a balanced conceptual challenge: they know exactly what kind of sound they want to create, they search for a specific groove, bring out a certain emotion and merge it with their musical research, whilst never violating the aesthetics of genres. Their work is based on mutual respect and, when necessary, they always look for an artistic compromise.
