Loqum is a Chicago-based producer and DJ originally from Istanbul, Turkey. Their distinctive hybrid style effortlessly bridges techno, footwork, and jungle, crafting an engaging sonic tapestry defined by syncopated grooves, intricate melodies, and rhythmic vocal textures. Drawing inspiration from early childhood memories of video game soundtracks, Loqum seamlessly blends the dynamic energy of Midwest contemporary dance music with diasporic sounds rooted in Turkey and the Middle East.
 Initially gaining prominence in Chicago's vibrant hip-hop and R&B scenes, Loqum's production credits include collaborations with rising drill artists such as Mello Buckzz, Star Bandz, and Fendi. Transitioning into the city's techno circuit in 2023, they quickly established a presence, performing at renowned underground series such as Mictlān, Club Hospitality, Green Machine, and Flow State. In 2025, they collaborated with Teklife footwork pioneer DJ Spinn on The Era Footwork Crew's "Let The Record Reflect." Loqum independently released their latest EP "Jungle Juke Jams" in January, which caught the attention of DJs for its innovative footwork-jungle fusion.
