Lopi is a 22-year-old techno and Schranz DJ whose story bridges the worlds of rhythm, resilience, and reinvention. Born in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica and raised in the hills of Manchester, they carry the dual heritage of a Jamaican upbringing and Puerto Rican roots, inherited from their father. Movement has always been central to lopi’s life from competing on Jamaica’s junior national Taekwondo team to dancing at a competitive level throughout their youth. After relocating to the United States with their mother in hopes of building a closer family unit, lopi’s path expanded across modeling, athletics, and performance. They were signed as a high fashion model, continued excelling in dance, and earned a track and field scholarship all while staying deeply connected to the pulse of music and culture. That connection soon evolved into action: throwing their own music and fashion events, promoting at their favorite nightclub, and eventually diving headfirst into DJing. DJing became more than just a craft it became a lifeline and emotional release following the loss of their father.
