Set to release their second album ‘Languid Haunt the Trees’ in December 2025, Lol K continue an exploration into the sonic worlds of experimental South London nightclubs, the two members, Junior XL + CJ Calderwood, extract textures more commonly associated with dancefloors and reimagine them against a backdrop of dark acoustic and orchestral instrumentation creating a nuanced and singular vision that guides the listener through a world haunted by omen, restless poltergeists and activated by psychic ritual and illicit nocturnal sexuality. Lol K have crafted a ferocious live set, which sees the pair reinterpret and break open their recorded output to play with and deconstruct traditional ideas of track structure, melody and genre. Across a spectrum of manipulated and warped instrumentation, familiar acoustic sounds become time-stretched and bent into complex dreamlike electronic compositions. Simultaneously filled with unorthodox ear worms and deep listening textures.
