Beijing born Japan raised Yiqing (she/they) is a DJ, event organizer currently based in Tokyo. Her adaptability to environment allows her DJ persona to play at wide range of events from art show to queer club night to protest rave, just as her choice music flows from mandarin rock, shoegaze to cantonpop, electroclash, trance. She approaches the Tokyo local scene through community oriented projects: multimedia collective ether, neon book club and radio residency at HKCR. Ether has been the focus and basis of her other projects, joined by sudden star and speedy lee genesis, each event exploring the deepest emotion by expressing the multitude of it. The series of irregular event aim to nourish the community with long term active care and facilitates a space to grow together.
