The underground scene marked Nouheyla's birth as a DJ. In addition to a knack for organizing raves, it soon became apparent that she had an even better knack for music and the crowd. Nouheyla became “LEYLA ”, the artist. Starting from the melodic genres of the electronic music scene, such as House and Pogressive Techno, she quickly made the leap into the festival and club scene around and in Berlin. Her style continued to evolve over time: Today, the now-called IKIGAI's sets are characterized by strong dynamics in which elements from the groove techno and the warehouse scenes alternate. This is how she conquered the peak times of the Berlin line-ups. Her love of experimentation eventually led her into the world of synthesizers and music production. Despite everything, IKIGAI couldn't give up her love for the underground scene. For her, the underground scene was always a place of freedom and a place of political expression against the commercialized music industry. So when she isn't seen behind the decks today, the 25-year-old works as an organizer and event manager in Berlin.
