Although Leo Knorpel has only been around for the last couple of years, he has come a long way with the amount of gigs, openings and euphoric moments. Born and raised in Cali, Colombia, Leo has a lot of taste and selection in his natal music which is salsa. Also, his spent his childhood spending every Sunday listening to classic Jazz, Salsa and Son Cubano records with his grandfather, who has a very extent collection. Leo has traveled the world listening to different artists and different styles. Spending a whole year living in Israel definitely expanded his borders in music and culture. He has learned to adapt to different situations and different crowds who enjoy different genres. Take as an example how his bookings vary from very commercial tech house sessions with Happy Techno, to intense industrial techno sessions in basements in Berlin. He has had experience playing in mayor cities like Barcelona, Madrid, Berlin and Tel Aviv. Has also been booked several times throughout his home country, Colombia. He has shared booth with mayor artists such as Marc Houle, Technasia, Marco Faraone, Radioslave, Tinni Gessler and Bloody Mary. Being the co owner of his collective and record label, Concept One, Leo Knorpel is one of the young talents coming out from Cali with a lot to offer to the music scene.
