Le Kaiju
Biografía
Born in Paris, France, Le Kaiju grew up with a rich multicultural heritage. They root from the US, Senegal, Italy and France, with a family of musicians and storytellers.
From an early age they started playing the piano, but soon enough, they found their first true love: drums. In 2019 they graduated from Berklee College of Music in drums, Electronic Production and Sound Design.
With a highly percussive sound, their music is focused on building intensity through rhythm.
Genre as well as gender non-conforming, they push the boundaries of music by intertwining multiple genres and sounds, and therefore embodying the complexity and contradictions of this day and age.
Apart of a vibrant club scene in Paris, they are a Rinse FM resident and have been discovered opening for iconic acts such as Mykki Blanco, Ascendant Vierge, Bonnie Banane and Eloi.
They recently founded the label Grand Remplacement Records in an effort to connect and bring visibility to artists from the diasporas of the south in France and Europe.
