Born in Berlin, Laura Sí has long been part of the Berlin techno scene, first as an enthusiastic dancer on the floor, then as a decorator and organizer, then as an awareness worker, and finally behind the decks. As part of Femquency and the Mit Dir Festival, she has helped organize a wide variety of events. From downtempo to peak time, Laura Sí likes to play genre-fluid music, as long as it gets people moving, allows them to sing along from time to time, and, in the best case, conveys a political message. As a newcomer, she still has to find her style, but so far she affectionately calls it trashno. For her, the overall concept is the focus of events—decoration, music, and dancers all contribute equally to creating an atmosphere where everyone feels safe and welcome. Als gebürtige Berlinerin ist Laura Sí schon lange Teil der Berliner Technoszene, erst als enthusiastische Tänzerin aufm Floor, von Deko und Orga hin zu Awareness Arbeit und schließlich auch hinter den Decks zu finden hat sie als Teil von Femquency und dem Mit Dir Festival verschiedenste Veranstaltungen mitgestaltet. Von Downtempo bis Peak Time spielt Laura Sí gerne genrefluid, Hauptsache es lässt die Hüften schwingen, man kann ab und zu mitsingen und es verbirgt sich im besten Fall noch eine politische Message. Als Newcomerin muss sie ihren Stil noch finden, bisher nennt sie es liebevoll Trashno. Für sie steht bei Veranstaltungen das Gesamtkonzept im Mittelpunkt – Dekoration, Musik und Tanzende tragen gleichermaßen dazu bei, dass eine Atmosphäre entsteht, in der sich alle sicher und willkommen fühlen.
