She began her musical journey as a child, constantly absorbing the influences of her parents’ record collection at home, whether that be 90s Techno or Depeche Mode. Lana soon developed her own taste and, when it became a rare occasion to hear her favourite kind of tracks out at a club, she took it upon herself to play them. Following some connections with musical friends and local DJs in 2010, she started learning her craft by playing in a wide range of different situations - bars, restaurants and soon warm up sets in clubs. These diverse scenarios pushed Lana to explore the ways in which her sound could fit into more chill-out, lounge environments - a crucial skill in the career to come. When the time felt right, she settled on the alias LANA and so would she become known to the crowds she played for.  With the rise of DJ technologies, Lana was able to push her boundaries further. She experimented with the endless possibilities of manipulating and blending digital music, a pursuit she continues today. By 2013, she was playing weekly and throughout Germany. She forged an increasingly original sound that sat between house and deep house, whilst also refining further her natural gift for taking a crowd on a journey or warming up a floor. A key step forward came in 2016, as LANA became a resident at Düsseldorf’s underground hotspot, Meshugge Bar. There she had the opportunity to play for her crowd, fueling her desire to dig fresh new music for each set. The word was getting out - more and more local techno clubs were paying attention and LANA would deliver every time, coming back to play again for most. As the dancefloors she played to grew, LANA’s sound became harder, charged to keep the crowds moving until the very last beat. But listen to any set of LANA’s and the irresistible groove from those early days is still there.  As well as playing at Meshugge, LANA found another home in legendary venue Kiesgrube. A recent highlight was the closing party, where she was billed alongside prestigious DJs and played an unforgettable set to an adoring floor. With her varied experiences and infectious touch behind the decks, LANA is now taking a new step with her own event projects, Lana’s Playground and Higher Sense. She will bring a fresh vibe to the Düsseldorf club scene, sharing her specific vision of techno with a 360 degree perspective. With both parties, she will invite guest artists for an experience like no other and also raise money for charities close to her heart. The projects continue the steady rise of a talented, passionate artist who shows no signs of slowing down.
