La Rage is a Marseille born, Barcelona based artist. They are interested in hybrid sounds, cross-pollination of genre and nonlinear sets. Looking for moments of emotions and release, they often blend heavy basslines with soulful voices. They navigate genres such as Breaks, ghetto house, deep reggaeton, leftfield and Jersey clubs. Digging 1990’s rare grooves as well as new styles and fusions. La Rage is the pseudonym of independent artist and researcher Charlie Thomas. Having lived in cities such as Marseille, Geneva, New York, Berlin, and Stockholm, they have experimented with different club scenes and underground parties. Regardless of the location, gender minorities are expected to continue dancing despite facing recurring and violent assaults on the dancefloor. La Rage represents a state of emancipation, an opportunity to unite in anger, dance, and reclaim our happiness on the dancefloor. In 2021, La Rage joined the Barcelona collective Sin Sync and has since performed at various events, including Le Fesses-tival in Geneva, the FLINTA-only party Teqno Disco at the Queerfeministischer Raum in Bern, or Nitsa club in Barcelona.
