Growing up in Germany music has always been a significant part of her daily life and this did not change even after moving to Australia five years ago. Entering the underground Techno scene in Sydney two years ago was the birthplace of her DJ career, a dream she had for many years. From the very early stages of learning how to DJ she has put all her focus on improving her skills whilst also helping the struggling nightlife scene during and after the pandemic. Besides performing at events she also assists friends with promoting and running events, increasing artist variety, giving opportunities to newcomers and pushing to increase the number of female DJs on lineups. From secret warehouse raves to renowned techno temples, she has shared the decks with some of the scene's most respected artist leaving a trail of unforgettable sets in it's wake. Her style is versatile as it is distinctive, seamlessly weaving between dark & brooding techno and uplifting & melodic anthems, creating a strong push and pull tensions within her sets. This vigorous contrast of darkness and light is her secret formular keeping the audiences engaged and moving. Besides playing along many well-known local artists, she also supported interstate artists such as Techno heavy weight Lisa May (VIC) and on international scale headliners like Kozy (CA, Alpaka Muzik) and Psytech pioneer Luis M (PT). Her relentless passion for music and her dedication to the underground music industry ensure that her future is as bright as the lasers that light up the dancefloors she commands. Through her hard work and dedication she has recently secured herself a residency at the dark minmal / psytech event & record label Puzzles Records in Sydney. For the future, Kurly is excited to grow her career surrounded by like-minded people and supportive friends, being part of a everchanging and evolving community. Her goal for 2025 is to enter music production and start making her own techno bangers.
