Kris Wasabi
Biografía
Kris has been DJing for over half his life, starting as a bedroom DJ giving away mixtapes at school to DJing in bars and house parties. He came to local prominence when invited to host the back room for Optimo [Espacio]'s Edinburgh residency.
Since then he has had enjoyed residencies at electro-burlesque club 'Confusion Is Sex' and underground disco nights 'Devil Disco Club' and 'Gasoline Dance Machine' as well as regularly DJing all around Scotland including T in the Park, Kelburn Garden Party and Electric Fields. A versitle DJing style has seen him share the bill with the likes of Surgeon, Paul Daley [Leftfield], Horse Meat Disco, John Morales and Erol Alkan to name a few.
His main focus is his own night 'Wasabi Disco' a monthly "anything goes" night in Edinburgh's Sneaky Pete's, a night where Disco and House & Techno old and new is melded with Rave, Electro, Punk & anything that takes his fancy. Now in it's 10th year Kris regularly takes control of the entire night but is keen to support local talent too, as well as the occasional guest DJs - Past guests have included -
