A guitarist and singer in her youth, raised on ABBA and classical Latin, kowojay developed a love for electronic music with multicultural influences. From clubroom to festival stage, kowojay's sets are a mix of the diverse sounds she has been shaped by over her years as both a musician and a DJ. Recognised not only for her blue hair, but also her dynamic mixing style and constant dancing, she creates a vibe that gives everyone a little something-something. Over the past two years, kowojay has become a staple in the Wollongong music scene, delivering sets that showcase a range of sounds and genres, as well as launching her own local parties and events. She's had the honour of supporting incredible artists like Hannah Laing, Ollie Lishman, STÜM, Daniel Avery, Thelma, and What So Not - just to name a few - cementing her as a versatile and passionate presence in the industry. kowojay made her festival debut this year at the 2025 Yours & Owls Festival, where she shared the stage with some artists who inspire her, including Odymel and Mark Blair. kowojay can often be found under her other DJ name, "Brooke", at multiple venues every weekend, including The Grand Hotel, Pepe's on the Beach and Towradgi Beach Hotel, playing disco house and garage edits of popular tracks for the masses.
