Kon Radd

She was raised in the suburbs outside of Waawiyatanong (Detroit), Michigan, and now is a settler on the traditional, ancestral and unceded territory of the Coast Salish peoples–Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), Stó:lō and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) and xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) Nations. She grew up surrounded by the soulful sounds of Motown and in her formative years she began to understand the significance of being a hop, skip and jump away from the birthplace of Techno. Like a moth to a flame, Konstantine took to the energy exchange that occurs on the dance floors of the underground electronic music scene. Upon her arrival to Canada, she found herself yearning to know more, her curiosity ultimately landed her behind the decks. She finds herself swimming in multiple genres and often rests in tracks that feel emotionally relevant to her inner state, a musical journey curated with careful consideration. Sometimes her track selection dazzles, fizzles, and creates a warm glow, and other times you may find her sinking into heavier baselines that get the party grooving – her sound grows, changes, and evolves alongside her, a living and breathing representation of who she is in that particular moment. The selections are never dull and it’s always a ride, so buckle up!
