Knowbody
Biografía
I am nobody. You are nobody. The images we project outward are not real. This knowledge lies at the very roots of techno music. The most influential participants in our culture have all but forgotten it.
Knowbody is the name ascribed to the recordings of a single artist. This individual executes every step of the creative process, refining abstract concepts into finished works with technical precision. Hypnotic textures and intricate polyrhythms define the project’s early output. No rigid parameters dictate its future.
Far beyond these sounds and their countless permutations, Knowbody serves as an open dialogue. It’s a platform that welcomes voices from counterculture flashpoints across the globe. Their collective message resonates more loudly than each one ever could on its own.
Techno was equally faceless when it first coalesced amid a crossfire of ideas between creators across borders. This nascent era didn’t last. Artistry inevitably met with industry, and the decades that followed saw the movement’s ethos reduced to a facsimile of the futurist statement at its origins.
The machines that once pushed techno forward now burden it. It’s easier to make music than ever before, but harder to make it memorable. The attention economy is instead monopolized by dystopian algorithms. We are ruled by devices that prey on our narcissism, platforming personalities with no regard for the merit of their art.
It is within your power to detach from social constructs and shed what aspects of your identity have been falsely assigned to you. All that remains is the truth, stark and elegantly simple, uncolored by the pretense of the outside world. Only by seeing yourself in this light can you leave behind something that lasts. The knowing is where it begins.
We are not the versions of ourselves that exist in the minds of others. We are not the images they project onto us. The truth will set us free, and we can find it together. I am Knowbody. You are Knowbody.
