KLEYN

KLEYN is a child of the 90s, born and raised in Koblenz, a small city between Cologne and Frankfurt. His connection to music started early. First with piano, later with a strong interest in drums, especially African percussion. The love for rhythm and groove has stayed with him ever since and still shapes the way he listens to and plays electronic music today. As a teenager, KLEYN discovered electronic dance music and quickly moved towards house and techno. Around 2015, at the age of 18, he became part of the underground techno scene and spent several years experiencing the culture from the dancefloor. During the Covid period, his growing passion for the music led him to start DJing himself. He began with the same kind of raw, hypnotic and driving techno that still forms an important part of his sound today. In 2025, KLEYN shifted his focus strongly towards vinyl. Since then, digging, collecting and playing records has become an important part of his artistic identity. His sets are mainly built around vinyl, while he stays open to digital when the situation or setup requires it. When the underground scene in Koblenz started to feel smaller, KLEYN moved to Frankfurt in search of new inspiration and a stronger connection to club culture. There he discovered a scene with a bigger focus on house and minimal, which opened another side of his musical taste. Today, KLEYN moves between hypnotic and driving techno, house and minimal. Depending on the setting, his sets can be deep and groove-driven or more intense and stripped-back, always with a strong focus on selection, rhythm and flow. For KLEYN, DJing is not only about playing records, but about creating connections through music, discovering new scenes and staying close to the underground culture that first inspired him.
