.KINA

Originally from Azerbaijan and now based in San Francisco, KINA is a DJ whose sound reflects a journey across cultures, creativity, and personal discovery. Her sets blend bouncy indie dance, progressive house, melodic and minimal techno, creating a balance between emotional melodies, hypnotic grooves, and moments of deep connection on the dance floor. Rooted in a lifelong passion for music, KINA began her musical journey at the age of seven with classical piano. After more than 12 years of studying and graduating from music college with a degree in classical music, she discovered electronic music as a new way to express emotion, energy, and storytelling. Her classical background continues to influence the way she approaches DJing, with a focus on flow, harmony, and creating immersive musical journeys. Growing up in Azerbaijan and later experiencing life across different countries, KINA developed a deep appreciation for the diversity of sounds, traditions, and perspectives found around the world. Her music is inspired by her heritage and the cultures she encounters through travel, reflecting the perspective of a global citizen. Rather than being defined by one place, her sound represents movement, curiosity, and the connections created when different worlds come together. Beyond music, KINA is a designer and a creative person who is passionate about building experiences that combine sound, visuals, and human connection. Her creative background influences not only her artistic identity but also the way she approaches each performance—from selecting tracks to creating an atmosphere where people can feel present, connected, and inspired. For KINA, DJing is more than playing music; it is a way to bring people together. She believes the dance floor can become a place where strangers connect, cultures meet, and unforgettable memories are created. Through her performances and future projects, she aims to build a global community centered around music, travel, and shared experiences.
