KillZen is a New Delhi based collaborative creation by electronic musicians Anannya Gupta and Abhishek Chaturvedi, marks the genesis of their original live performance project, Killzen Live. Anannya, a skilled drummer since the age of 14, pairs his rhythmic prowess with Abhishek's experience with keys. Despite their broad musical palettes, their creations distinctly reflect their artistic personas. Their signature blend of electronica and dance music draws inspiration from their extensive musical influences. In 2016, Anannya and Abhishek crossed paths at 'Point Blank Music School' in London, England, where they pursued their bachelor's in music technology. The curriculum encompassed a comprehensive range of modules, including music production, sound engineering, sound design, live sound engineering, DJing, audio mixing, mastering, electronic music performance, music composition, and composing for film, TV, radio, and games. Their collaborative journey took them to prominent stages such as ‘DGTL', ‘Indiavision', and 'Sofar Sounds’, and involved collaborations with platforms like 'Wild City’, 'Krunk Live’, ‘Boxout.fm', 'Resident Advisor’ etc. The duo has been privileged to share their performance project on these massive platforms, showcasing their unique brand of electronic music. KillZen (Live) stands out as the only performance project in India capable of being presented in 'Ambisonics' or ‘Spatial Audio’ surround sound.' This technical feat underscores their commitment to pushing the boundaries of audio experiences. Notably, KillZen is the sole project in India consistently delivering 'live performances with all original music' since its inception in 2017, a source of pride for both Anannya and Abhishek. Their creative journey also extends to the release of multiple singles and EPs, with the much-anticipated debut album set to release in late 2024. The album, spanning 2 CDs and featuring 18 tracks, marks a significant milestone in their artistic evolution. This debut album is a testament to their dedication to crafting original, innovative music that resonates with their audience. As KillZen continues to evolve, Anannya and Abhishek aim to contribute to the immersive and cutting-edge music scene, leaving an indelible mark on the landscape of electronic music in India and beyond.
