Long before memory, in a past without form, they began to appear, in a past without night. Then as memory began to screen them out, they slipped into language, hiding between letters, jumping out between words. Autodidact multi-disciplinarian bred and born in the flatlands of America. Cultivated in Berlin for the past 18 years, Kieran founded an all-female collective called crystalmafia that toured internationally with an interactive take on performance art, cinema, documentary photography, and gonzo journalism. Heavily impacted in her teens by the counterculture of the late 60s and early 70s, she traveled the lots of jam bands and frequented many an indie rock show, before landing in Berlin in 2005 and gaining her first job working the door at Bar25. Electronic music influences include the Beatstreet parties, proper education on the evolution of minimal sound, Larry Levan and the Paradise Garage, Ron Hardy and the Power Plant mixed with a deep obsessive compulsion to dig for obscure 90s House records. When not creeping around a nightclub she directs films, shoots analog photos, builds immersive set designs with living plants plus an occasional deep dive into the curation of special happenings. Recent collaborations include her love affair with Waking Life, the charm school of Maayan Nidam, cheerleader for Love on the Rocks and all things Paramida, and some travels with the gang of Giegling.
