Biografía
(roger kerosene) started his career in the late 80s in
frankfurt/germany as a rock-drummer and turned to producing electronic
music in the early nineties.
in 1991 he released his first 12" on delirium records, which was
followed by a series of solo releases as kerosene (on hard hands, force
inc, mille plateaux, caipirinha) as well as projects like
ultrahigh (with jammin' unit on sony music, force. inc.),
cracked (with dr.scissors on superstition) or h.e.a.d.
(with khan of finland on blue and emi harvest).
with jammin' unit he started the pharma label in 1995, which
released 30 catalogue numbers until 1999.
as zulutronic he did a remix for the wu-tang-clan in 1998, later that year
he moved to berlin. in 2000 kerosene produced the soundtrack
for the expo-2000-exhibition of daimler chrysler.
in 2001 he released his first tracks on fumakilla ("tulasonic"
with adel dior from autotune, followed in 2003 by a new
ultrahigh 12").
in 2004 he remixed tracks for nine inch nails and gwen stefani.
in summer 2006 he went on tour in greece with his live act "the pressure".
in january 2008 kerosene launched his new techhouse label
"athletikk".
kerosene had major press features in de:bug, mixmag, spex, raveline,
nme and melody maker.
kerosene peformed live at (among others):
blue note club london, the cooler nyc, privilege ibiza, mayday dortmund and mayday
frankfurt, flex vienna, metropol, volksbühne and arena berlin, raves in
the u.s., canada, uk, greece and switzerland.
