Since hearing ‘Jam On It’ by Newcleus in 1982, I always wanted to be a DJ and someone who plays quality music. I’m heavily into the Detroit sound now and very fussy when it comes to music. When I was younger, I never listened to music at all... like a kid waiting for something special to happen and blimey it did! Listening to Grand Master DXT scratching to Herbie Hancock’s ‘Rocket’. That was the first record I ever bough. I was very young so could only afford the 7inch version. Then things moved on, listening to hip hop... and then Derrick May changed my life, so ever since I’ve been listening to that Detroit sound. I could go on forever! My favourite artists and labels are Red Planet, Wild Planet, Underground Resistance, Kenny Larkin, Scan 7, Aaron Carl, Carl Craig, Juan Atkins, Convextion, Orlando Voorn, DJ Bone, DJ Rolando, Robert Hood, E-dancer, ican...
