A 2015 DJ contest put me behind the decks of my favourite Polish club, Das Lokal, where I could finally present my set-building skills to a wider audience. After earning local recognition quite swiftly, I was allowed to support many artists I admire (such as Patrice Bäumel), line festivals I love (like Plötzlich Am Meer) and play in clubs of my musical Mecca - Berlin (e.g. Club der Visionäre’s Hoppetosse). I like to think of myself as constantly evolving and eager to experiment. Looking for my own sound in all kinds of genres, I stretch my compositions from keta-pop and deep house, through the jungle-ish varieties of tech-house, to the more melodic kinds of techno. I try to cross genres more and more, occasionally stepping outside the 4x4 realm. Anxiety permeates my selection, being the most common denominator of the tunes I select. Too much rainbow makes me puke, but I often balance on the verge of trashiness - in a way trying to do what Tarantino does with the motion picture. I also love using silence as a powerful ingredient, and to hear at least a distant echo of our African motherland in the beat. Not being a producer, I try not to repeat myself much. If I play a track often, I add a fresh dimension by prolonged mixes, of which I am a fan. I also pay a lot of attention to the kind of gig I'm taking part in, trying to adjust accordingly and give the dance floor what it needs.
