Embarking from Istanbul, maturing in Miami, and now residing in London, KC Happy’s musical journey reflects a passion ignited at age 10. Collecting CDs and curating soundtracks for family gatherings and friends, he cultivated a love for a variety of older and modern music, paving the way for his unique genre-hopping sound today. In Miami (2012-2020), KC delved into DJing, performing at iconic venues like Bardot, Electric Pickle, Club Space and Floyd, alongside festivals like III Points. Relocating to London in 2020 for a culinary career, KC continued to spin at house parties and dig for records, blending his culinary and musical passions. Transitioning to full-time DJing in 2023, he adopted the name KC Happy, reflecting his upbeat nature. Which also is a translation of his full name. Mutlu, his last name, is a literal Turkish translation of the word "happy". His sets, ranging from Detroit House to Balearic Beat, Acid Techno to Hi-NRG Disco embody a carefree, happy-go-lucky vibe, a testament to his belief in the no-rules philosophy of musical expression. Some later venues he played in include Frankhan, Arkestra and Minimuzikhol in Istanbul, Miami Soundbar, ATV Records Miami and some "undisclosed" locations around UK and Europe. Having shared stages with artists like Danilo of M.C.D.E, CC:Disco!, Crazy P, Exos, Jeremy Underground, Eli Escobar, Pino d'Angio and Voilaaa Soundsystem to name a few, KC Happy’s journey is as much about the party as the music.
