KaYa (UK)
Biografía
Born in the 90s, her musical DNA is imprinted with the depth, grit, and soul of that era—an influence she wears proudly in every set. KaYa draws heavily from the textures and moods of that time, blending them with a modern sensibility that reflects her diverse musical upbringing. Her sets move fluidly through genres; a dialogue between foundational house and techno and the multicultural energy of her London environment.
Taking influence from her many years on the dance floor; the groove of Larry Heard, the minimal funk of Robert Hood, the genre agility of Ben UFO, and the fearless party energy of Jackmaster, she pays homage to the genre’s roots while pushing its boundaries—delivering sets that are both respectful of tradition and unapologetically forward-looking. Her sound is a dynamic blend of deep house, tribal techno, early tech house and low-end-driven bass music.
Further shaped by her years working as a dancer, KaYa has an instinctive ability to read the room and predict the needs of the dance floor, making you feel like you’re exactly where you need to be.
Establishing herself on London’s circuit, she has played many venues and festivals such as Lost Village, Hi Ibiza, Glastonbury, The Cause, Night Tales, Ministry of Sound, Studio 338, Dalston Superstore and Secret Garden Party, to name a few.
