From her residencies at Six D.O.G.S and Revolt! in her native Athens to an international schedule across Europe, Russia, South America and the U.S, her warm, hypnotic style has found favour on dancefloors across the globe. Among the many highlights are DEMF after parties, Glastonbury festival, regular appearances at Club Der Visionaere, Circoloco and many more besides. The ingredients of her particular sound can be attributed to the classic realms of ‘90s house and techno from Detroit, Chicago and Frankfurt, with a penchant for the trippy, dubbed out and sublime. Both warm and distinctive in her approach, it’s not hard to understand how K.atou’s craft has taken her so far already. It’s an exciting time for K.atou as her profile continues to rise in all corners of the house and techno scene. She returns to the production game with a new track “Messy Head”, set to appear on the various artists Spring EP on Lomidhigh Organic. Meanwhile her DJ schedule continues to take her to distant lands, with a tour of the U.S landing in New York, Baltimore, Boston, LA, Denver and Detroit. As ever there’s a wealth of mixes online from the Greek selector, with XLR8R inviting her to deliver a podcast ahead of her appearance at Rhythm Rapport. Meanwhile a few months ago respected blog Input Selector also requested a mix, and you can also hear the live recording of her b2b set with Fernando Costantini at the Gem Fest in Georgia (where the pair had to battle in stormy conditions and still deliver the grooves).
