Katie Ox has been DJing on the low-low in Miami since 2011, only to be discovered eight years later by Miami-based all-female collective, The Fates. After 3 incredible years of playing with the Fates, Katie Ox embarked on her solo journey and started to explore new opportunities. Katie Ox's groovy, uplifting sound has lit up dance floors all over Miami, from clubs and rooftop bars, to the Miami Boat Show & the Miami City Ballet. She has played at popular parties like Daybreaker, Coconut Groove, Pew Pew, & The Electric Pickle Pop-Up; popular venues like Eagle Room, Treehouse, Gitano, The Anderson, Oasis Wynwood, ATV Records, Broken Shaker, 1-800-Lucky, Number 3 Social, The Freehold, Arlo Wynwood and so many more, plus popular clubs and venues across South Florida. Katie has taken her funky Miami sound all over, from NYC (TBA Brooklyn), to Portland (Citrus), the Bahamas, Dominican Republic and more. Katie is known locally for getting the dancefloor grooving with her funky, digestible sound, playing you all your favorite songs you've never even heard before. In addition to DJing, Katie has her Master's degree in Marriage & Family Therapy from the University of Miami. She works in Mental Health at a community center in a low income neighborhood in Miami, where she works with kids and seeks to guide and inspire them through encouragement, connection and creativity.
