A young DJ of the year finalist, Kate was snapped up by trance and hard house club night Gulp Nation as a resident, going on to tour the UK for five years. Returning to the decks in 2020 after a break to raise her family, Kate has appeared at festivals and clubs alongside the likes of Jodie Harsh, Woody Cook, Miami House Party and Paul Morrell, and has shared the stage with some of the biggest names in LGBTQ+ entertainment including Danny Beard, Cheryl Hole, Nadine Coyle, Angie Brown and Jaymi Hensley. Kate holds residencies at Birmingham clubs Mama Roux’s, Boltz and Lion Bar. Describing her music tastes as an eclectic fusion of bass driven energy, Kate loves the sounds of leftfield, deep house, disco, jackin, melodic and techno. Mixing together soulful grooves, enigmatic breakdowns and deep drops, Kate loves crafting musical journeys which build in tempo and energy as the night progresses. Entering the world of radio for the first time in 2020, Kate cut her teeth in local radio, soon after joining national LGBTQ+ radio heavyweight Gaydio. Hosting twice weekly mixshows, Kate puts her platform to use supporting emerging artists, while sharing her passion for music with an international audience. Kate has also produced guest mix shows for Ibiza’s Stardust Radio, Coast Radio and Rother Radio. Having joined Toolroom Academy to learn electronic music production, 2023 saw Kate being named one to watch, producing tracks which have received airplay on BBC Introducing, Gorgeous Radio and Centreforce Radio. Passionate about diversity and inclusion, Kate founded and organises Chase Pride, hosts regular networking and open deck sessions for gender minority DJs under her Mix City brand, and most recently has founded R4GE, a house night which raises funds for charities supporting the trans+, non-binary and queer community.
