KarmaVioletta
Biografía
Karma, born in Vancouver and raised in Kaua'i and Miami, comes from a musical family rooted in Mexico City. He picked up the drums at age 3, followed by guitar, singing, and piano. In 2012, he discovered Ableton and dove deep into production, emerging as a versatile producer, singer/songwriter, sound engineer, and DJ.
Violetta, born in Germany and raised in Russia and the U.S., also grew up surrounded by music—her mom was a piano teacher. She learned piano and guitar early on, and as a lifelong singer, she began songwriting in 2017, which naturally led her into co-producing and DJ’ing.
As co-founders of wavWRLD, a community-driven collective curating genre-bending music and cultural gatherings, KarmaVioletta is all about pushing boundaries and building immersive spaces. Through their event series iykyk, they create exclusive audio pop-ups in Miami and beyond, merging underground energy with intimate community. Since 2021, they’ve been at the forefront of the onchain music movement, pioneering onchain releases and experimenting with virtual songwriting camps like Songcamp and CHAOS. Their music collectibles have dropped on platforms such as Sound.xyz, Lens Protocol, Zora, and Catalog.
KarmaVioletta’s sound is fluid and ever-evolving, weaving through melodic house, Afro house, stutter house, speed house/speed garage, deep house, tech house, indie dance, organic house/downtempo, and disco—whatever feels right in the moment.
They’ve shared the stage with artists like Tom & Collins, Kilo Kish, Jordan John, Malóne, Daniel Allan, Kimonos, Allen Hulsey, Sean Doron, Kuff, The Human Experience, Eskuche, Seth Schwartz, Dot, The Soul Brothers, and Rafael. Their performances have graced venues such as Public Records, Joia Beach, SLS Hyde Beach, ASTRA, Fabel, Palapa, Negroni, Love Burn Festival, 1000 Palms Hideout, MODE, Proyecto Tulum, ChoZen Eco-Retreat, Lemon City Studios, and Nautilus Hotel.
They’ve also brought their sound to the playa, performing at Love Burn and Burning Man’s Sacbe camp, bridging underground energy with the transformative spirit of the burn.
